I’m wondering if a catalyst for this distribution strategy is the fact that (it sounds like) you have quite a number of members of your LLC. If you have just one (or a handful) of members then often it can make sense to reinvest profits at the corporate level (instead of taking a distribution, paying personal tax and then reinvesting the after-tax dollars). Put another way, if you owned 100% of the LLC, would you do the same?
