I’m sorry this happened to you.

A part of me wants to tell you to get off the internet, because people are so extreme in their opinions here. Just let them be and do your thing. But you quote friends and that’s terrible.

I can’t believe there is actual, real, flesh and blood people going around telling other people to generalize more and that that is actually okay.

It’s not okay. Never. And that it’s being done to women and people of color and all kinds of other people does not mean it’s okay to now do it to guys.

I think a part of those women are probably young. When you had few time to make mistakes it’s easier to judge others. As for the rest, all we can do as a society is to show them that generalizing people for whatever reason is always a mistake.

I hope whatever you do in the future, you’ll gain the confidence to ignore people that clearly have no understanding of the situation at hand. I know how hard that can be.
