Thanks abatchy! You are right that base64_decode() does require a string. However you can pass a base64 string literal to the function without it being enclosed in quotes. For example: base64_decode(aGVsbG8=)
I assumed it would require quotes, like base64_decode(“aGVsbG8=”)
