Haman’s Humiliation (6:1–14)

  1. The king was looking for some light reading to help him sleep. What did he find?
  2. Why had Haman come to visit the king?
  3. Why does Haman suggest such high honors in response to the king’s question?
  4. What do you think was going through Haman’s mind when the king told him to go and give the honors to Mordecai? What about as he was taking Mordecai through the streets?
  5. If Haman truly loved his king, why could he not honor the man who had saved the king’s life?
  6. Can you think of a time in your life when your selfish ambition made someone an enemy rather than a friend or ally?
