The 3 Types Of People Who Will Never Succeed In Life

When you look at successful people, it’s easy to see the traits they all have in common, most of them are smart, hard working, and consistent with their efforts.

Most unsuccessful people also have traits in common with one another, this is what I want to talk about today because if we can identify these trait with in ourselves, we can cut them out and hopefully move our lives towards something greater.

Here are the 3 types of people who unfortunately will never succeed in life…

#1. The Lazy Bone / Slacker / Bum

This type of person HATES hard work, I know because at one point in my life I was this type of person.

I didn’t like to do anything I didn’t feel like doing or that I thought was beneath my capabilities, the reality is that hard work is not only good, but it’s for everyone!

I realized that no matter what I wanted to do in life, I would have to work hard. That includes being lazy. Why?

If you are lazy, it’s a lot of work convincing yourself and others about why you aren’t doing anything. It’s unnatural to not be doing something meaningful, even in the animal kingdom every animal and bug has their role an nature and not one of them is lazy (with the exception of the panda).

It’s hard work looking into the mirror everyday and saying “this is fine.” there is a psychological price to be paid for not working towards anything.

A person with a directionless life will work all day trying to avoid this burden through drugs and distractions like TV, video games, and social media.

How To Get Out Of This Mindset

It’s not easy, it took basically being faced with the undeniable realization that my life will stagnate and fall apart if I didn’t do something about it soon, and there was a point where my TV, video game console, and phone broke and I couldn’t afford to replace them, so it was either work hard or be extremely depressed about my aimless life with no distraction.

I chose the meaningful option.

#2. The Willfully Ignorant / Think-They-Know-It-All

When I started writing this article I wasn’t planning on telling everyone what a failure I was but here we are, yes this was me also.

So willfully ignorant means that you think you don’t need to learn anything more than what you already know, so you don’t.

This was a big problem for me because when I first got interested in online business I researched A TON on the subject, I looked up how to market, branding, content creation, and sales.

I never put any of this knowledge into practice for a while, I don’t know what was wrong with me, it was probably what they call “analysis paralysis” where you learn and learn and learn but you never practice what you learn because knowing what you need to do is satisfying enough to your brain.

When I finally got around to starting my first crappy website, I stopped learning because I thought I knew it all, turns out I didn’t know jack.

One of the most important lessons I learned was that, learning while you’re not working is a lot different than learning while you are working towards something.

The reason for this is that when you are learning without actually “walking the walk” is that you have no idea what is going to work for you, I learned all about drop shipping, creating ebooks, and bitcoin but I don’t do ANY of that stuff so what was the point of me learning about it?

If you work at something and learn about the thing you are working on as you go along, it is a much better use of your time because you are getting first hand experience with the thing that you are learning about.

I love affiliate marketing and I learning about it while I am actually doing it. The knowledge actually stays in my brain because I am putting the knowledge into reality with my own to hands.

How To Get Out Of This Mindset

Start working on your business and when you come across a problem, research the solution and experiment with different solutions until you find what works best for you.

When you are researching things with no first hand experience, there are multiple ways to solve a problem or accomplish a goal but you’ll never really know which one you’ll think is best until you do it yourself.

#3. The Inconsistent Worker

Yup it’s me again, when I finally decided to work hard, and research as I was working, I still made the mistake of letting life get in the way.

My work was not a priority for me and because of that, I never got the momentum going in my business that I needed for success.

You need to realize that in life, something will always need your attention and people will always try to get a hold of you for whatever reason but the work has to come first.

Basically you need to learn how to say no to people. I was always going off and doing something with my friends or family but my work was suffering. If there is an emergency then of course family and friends come first but if they just want you to go hangout or do some errand for them then you have to refuse if your work for the day isn’t completed.

It may sound brutal or harsh but this your future that’s at stake, you cannot let anything get in the way of your destiny, and they are not going to support you when your business fails and you can’t support yourself.

How To Get Out Of This Mindset

Just realize that if you aren’t consist with your efforts and allow yourself to be lazy or distracted with menial things then your business will suffer because you will not be gaining the momentum required for the business to grow healthy.

So don’t abandon your friends and family but make your business the number one priority and everything else will fall into place.

In Conclusion

I hope this was useful for anyone looking to start their business, and while I didn’t start this article with idea that I was going to tell my life story, I only wish that somebody reading about it can learn from my mistakes.

If you recognize yourself in all or any of these three archetypes, then the only thing left to do is get yourself and your business into gear!
