Mature content doth be below. I try to keep it reasonable, but the nature of the subject doesn’t make it necessarily easy to accomplish. So consider this the warning. Language and Gore follow. It isn’t a blood-fest, however.

[Book Index]

Ames looked around the parking garage, the elevator had already begun its long climb to the to top with Bronski inside. When they had pulled into the garage, he had hopped out of the vehicle and charged off with his usual gusto. He seemed to be a very focused individual and quite capable of forgetting the little details…

Like where Ames was supposed to do her work.

The garage was fortunately empty, so she had more than a moment to decide where she would want to go. Bronski was not in a normal chain of command, so odds were good that most people didn’t even know he existed. So she decided that the first place would help her figure things out, and then she could go to Human Resources and see about finding out who was in the know.

She stood there for a moment, and then realized it would be faster to just take the stairs. In a moment, she was looking at the listing of different people and the different offices. It only took a moment to find Bronski on the listing.

Head of Special Jurisdictions

Ames cocked her head at that, and considered what it would imply about her own position.

Building Better Worlds. Random and chaotic. My social media presence is about something so specific it looks like nothing at all.
