i remember the shock ‘we’ felt when Ticketmaster took over the world of live music. i used to send my teenagers to camp over night at the local ‘record’ store with a pocket full of cash to buy me Springsteen, Stones, Police…tickets. Their payoff was ‘ticket for you + one for friend’. i don’t ever remember feeling i didn’t get a ‘fair’ ticket at face value of that ticket, plus a small service fee for the record store (glad to do that too). i also have never figured out how Ticketmaster has gotten away with this…i really thought they would be beat down early on, but no — there they were again! i’m from Olympia,WA so was familiar with Oly/Seattle bands challenging Ticketmaster — we cheered, they lost. Thanks for railing tho! nothing changes if we give in…
