Who would poke their patron in the eye? Even if that patron deserved a poke in the eye, most content creators would feel guilty for taking their patron’s largess and creating anything that would then harm their benefactor. Even if the corporate funders were not actively trying to promote a pro-corporate agenda (which they absolutely are) what is produced with their dollars is unavoidably tainted.
By the way, I got a bit of a chuckle out of how you included “…even art…”, tacitly acknowledging that film, TV, and perhaps some books are themselves not art. Perhaps you realize that they are instead products, like shoes or cheeseburgers or carbonated flavored sugar water beverages, which are designed by committee and manufactured to achieve very specific aims, including but not limited to making a profit. In any case, it is quite perceptive of you to recognize that art is something distinct from the consumer products manufactured by large multinational media corporations.
