The Unthinkable Is Happening in Our Own ‘Backyard’

Hi Jenna,

Thank you for helping to bring awareness to this insidious global problem. Victims of human trafficking are slaves. We don’t like to use that word today, perhaps because it brings up one of the dirtiest periods of American history — but that does not mean that the people of our nation or any other developed nation are immune to modern day slavery.

We recently decided to make this issue the focus of the inaugural exhibit in ARTTN Gallery (www.arttngallery.com), a project we launched to tell important and oft-overlooked visual stories. We are working with Not For Sale in San Francisco (www.notforsalecampaign.org)and six world-class photographers to help break the cycle for women and children in Romania. Please take a look — and thank you again for speaking out about this issue!

We are Not For Sale. We are Free To Be…
