It depends on your company’s configuration and permissions. Potential ways around it:
- Use outlook web interface, where every email has a unique URL
- Configure outlook server to use Gmail as the client, using Google Apps
I’ve seen some clever workarounds. Anything is possible in today’s world if you’re willing to do some work.
In case of extreme security, you can always create a separate task area in outlook, and integrate that into your main workflow with an item on your daily/weekly review checklist: process and prioritize outlook-specific tasks. Not ideal but it can work.
