Thank you for your perspective. I am a former evangelical pastor. I fully agree with you. Scripture does not support a singular definition of marriage and should be open to interpretation in light of culture and current-day challenges. Like Jesus said to the pharisees when they caught his disciples eating wheat on the sabbath: the law is here to serve us; we are not here to serve the law.
