Foundervine | PwC UK

We are pleased to announce that Foundervine has been selected as one of 25 organisations to receive support from the new PwC ColourBrave Charity Fund.

The fund was set up to give Black-led social enterprises, as well as charities with ethnic minority beneficiaries, access to finance, mentoring, networks and skills.

Over the next year, Foundervine will be working closely with PwC UK to develop skills and strategies that will help scale our positive social impact and reach. Support from PwC UK will provide us with much needed support to achieve our aims:

1. Access: Increasing access to entrepreneurship and opportunities…

#SU54 Powered by Foundervine in collaboration with Lambeth Council and supported by the Mayor of London.

This weekend we hosted our first SU54 of the year and our 3rd in Lambeth! Not only was it mega fun, but it was also the biggest SU54 we’ve hosted since moving our programmes online. This event was exclusively for Lambeth residents, and we had participants joining from all across the borough; Tooting, Clapham, Brixton, Streatham, you name it, we had someone representing!

Friday, Friday, Gotta get (our ideas) down on Friday

We kicked off our Friday night with the ever dynamic Imelda Fossu taking us through a workshop on problem solving and idea generation. This session was full of energy and don’t tell David Fisayo we said this……

A word from Sam 🚀🚀

Sam Lam is a Programs Associate at Foundervine working with our partners in Higher Education to ensure we are delivering value to students and helping them cross the bridge into entrepreneurship.

As we embark, somewhat blindly, into a new year, the majority of us will utilise this period of time for reflection. Last year was unprecedented. Whilst the list of what went wrong may heavily outweigh the list of what went right, I feel as though we would get much more value in focusing on the latter (plus, I have a word count to keep to!).

Can you be disruptive, but in a good way?

Foundervine’s growth has been exponential over the past 3 years, and the reasons why are obvious. Prior to joining the Programs team, I had attended many Foundervine events. …

Vine Community Christmas Gathering 🎅🏿🧑🏽‍🎄🤶🏼🎄

This December, we launched our final #SU54 of the year, closing off an incredible year. We are thankful to our Vine Fellows — our community of leaders who have helped our entrepreneurs grow throughout 2020.

For those of you who have been on this journey with us, we wanted to share a recap of what has been a year of change for Foundervine, a year of development and a year of growth. 🚀

Foundervine & OneTech

Startup 54 brings together ambitious people to form teams, build prototypes and launch new businesses. This program, hosted in partnership with One Tech and Stride, was open to Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Wandsworth residents with big ideas.

This weekend we kicked off our final program for the year! This is the seventh SU54 we’ve delivered virtually and we couldn’t be more proud of how our team and program participants have adapted this year. This was a particularly special weekend for our new program manager Ayo Awotona, who brought an incredible level of energy to her first SU54.

Participants ranged from software engineers and university students through to a London black cab driver — proof that no matter what you’re doing it’s never too late to start a venture. …
