The Founder Institute Releases Report on its Impact in LATAM

At the Founder Institute, one of our core values is to not shy away from big challenges. Our challenge, and our mission, is to “Globalize Silicon Valley” and empower talented and motivated people to build impactful companies that create one million jobs.

While seemingly insurmountable (borderline “crazy”?), we’ve achieved many milestones towards this mission in the past few years, especially in Latin America, and our efforts were recently profiled in the article,El impacto del Founder Institute en Latinoamérica. Below are just a few of the highlights from our time in LATAM:

  • The Founder Institute has graduated more than 170 promising tech companies in LATAM.
  • FI has doubled the number of LATAM cities it’s in since 2015.
  • The list of investors in Founder Institute Graduates includes TechStars, Velum Ventures, Startup Chile, and more.

Since 2015, our new launches include Sao Paulo, Costa Rica, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Ribeirao Preto, Panama City, Cordoba, and Guatemala City. We are also aiming to accelerate this growth, with a goal of reaching 20 total cities by adding at least 6 more locations by the end of the year.
