I’d like not to learn from the successful. I’d like to learn from those aspiring to be successful

I’d not like to learn from the successful I’d like to learn from those aspiring to be successful.

Before I begin, I am not in anyway condemning learning from those who are successful. I by all means want to learn from the successful BUT i’d like to pick and chose what I learn from them. Now I will tell you why!

Although, I commend the successful and I aspire to be playing in a similar field to them. We need to take the factor of TIME into consideration. Those who are successful obviously started out in a different time to me, therefore I consider it a whole different ball game.

Let’s take for example a recent webinar I attended:

Get 0–40k Instagram followers in a year.

Although, in the webinar I learnt new strategies to grow my Instagram account I also believe that what might have been successful for this individual and the company say three years ago might not lead me to the same level of success now. Taking into consideration the changing external environment of Instagram. Obviously you and I both know in the last three years Instagram has changed drastically. Now I won’t go down the road outlining its changes but the app has evolved, as it should. Therefore what might have worked for an individual in the past might not necessarily have the same effect in success now. And likewise, what strategies might work now might not necessarily be expected to work in the future.

Therefore, as an individual aspiring to be successful in today’s online environment I would like to learn from others exactly like me. I mean there has to be some of us out there that are starting up be it with an idea/business concept that may in the future be on the issue of Forbes or hey maybe the next Jobs or Besos.

Facilitating this online sharing environment personally is an absolute necessity today. Let’s learn from those in the same position as us today.

I mean, I have certain tried and tested methods that I’d like to share. Just yesterday I created a template of my social media post planner where I outline daily when, what and where I post certain things online with relation to the two online businesses I am currently running.

This planner is going fantastically, because I can visually see my content and it’s planned a week in advance with captioning and all. And by sharing it with others I can identify this strategy’s flaws and merits. Now I have yet to reach social media success but whose to say I won’t in the future. :)

What are your thoughts? I’d like to know your opinion. Be it for or against mine.
