STORY OF MY MENTOR
Mentor-ship is a relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. The mentor may be older or younger than the person being mentored, but she or he must have a certain area of expertise. It is a learning and development partnership between someone with vast experience and someone who wants to learn. Mentor-ship experience and relationship structure affect the amount of psycho-social support, career guidance, role modeling, and communication that occurs in the mentoring relationships in which the men-tee and mentors engaged.
Mentor is a guide who can help the men-tee to find the right direction and who can help them to develop solutions to career issues. Mentors rely upon having had similar experiences to gain an empathy with the men-tee and an understanding of their issues. Mentoring provides the men-tee with an opportunity to think about career options and progress.

M y mentor
Throughout my life I have many mentors that helped me out in my tough situations and guide me to do the best. My mentor-ship list include my Mother and father, my teachers, friends. But here I am going to tell about one of my most respectable mentor Javaid Sabri Khan (My school teacher).
M y Mentor-ship story
From my early education I studied under the supervision of Principle Javaid Sabri Khan. When I was in 8th class everyone including my family wanted me to admit in a school where I could complete my matriculation with arts subjects. But this person told me that from your primary education you are topper, you have capability to go for higher studies and achieving higher studies you should do matriculation with science subjects. At that time I was not able to take my decisions on my own so I accepted his advice and started arguing at home that I have to go for science. Finally I got admission in the best school of my city “The Educators” and completed my degree with A+ grade.
The same happened in my F.Sc degree but whenever I felt difficulty I met to this person and always found valuable advice from him. With the help of sir javaid I got admission in Beacon House College on partial scholarship and successfully completed my degree with good grades.
Again at the time of admission in university no one was willing that I should go out of the city specially hostel for higher study. But I was passionate for higher study so I met to sir and discussed my problem. The very next day sir came to my home and convinced my family for my admission. He helped me throughout my admission and which field is suitable for me. I think due to their help, best advises and suggestions I am here near to achieve my dreams.
How humility helped me to achieve my goals?
I think for achieving our dreams we need support and help from others at any tough point of our life. And without being humble and polite we cannot get that. For getting the support, advice, help regarding any matter we have to respect them, we have to show gratitude. I believe there is a strong connection between the humility and achievement of goals as humility is the key of success. In my case humility did a lot. Sir like the students who respect them from the core of their hearts. So I also respect him a lot and always get their favor wherever I need and I think it’s all due to my respect, humbleness and gratitude.
“True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.”
(C.S. Lewis)
I am sure if I did not respect him, did not build a strong and kind relationship with him it was not possible for me to get his support in order to achieve my goals.
