sadly, it’s not just the smooshed letters that make The Met logo so disappointing, as it is the obvious ignorance of typographic design.

to paraphrase Boromir, ‘one does not simply smoosh the letters together’.

and yes, you are on to something with those science museum logos … something … something … ah, it escapes me!
