Gap Year Day 125

Today has been a bit of a lazy day. Which isn’t all bad, because yesterday was quite a busy day of adventure. I woke up, had some breakfast, then went for a stroll around the island. I talked with Annie for awhile which was super nice to catch up with each other.

I met the groundskeeper, Joey, during my walk, and he was really nice. We chatted for some time and he told me I have to come watch the sunrises from Coconut Island because they are supposed to be incredible…so I will definitely do that!

Moments captured during my morning stroll
Beautiful flower — it almost looks fake!

I talked with Tyler, Mom, and Dad on FaceTime which was good as always, and I got to see my favorite chunk:)

After having some lunch, I’m now blogging and then I think I’ll try to go for a run off-island…although it’s like 87 degrees!! A swim will surely be in my future:)

I ended up swimming before heading off-island for a run. I had a nice run, despite the fact that I was pouring with sweat! I made a bathroom/water stop at Safeway and used the men’s bathroom because the women’s was being cleaned…that was an interesting experience.

I went for another swim when I got back and then showered and had some dinner.

A daily blog/journal of my gap year adventures.
