Gap Year Day 127

First thing this morning, Mykle, Cassie, and I went out in the boat to take water samples from the bay. We went to four locations, and they were the four farthest locations Mykle is sampling from. I was glad to go out in the boat because today was exceptionally hot and the breeze felt amazing.

My sun protection get-up for taking water samples out in the boat!

Cassie left for the rest of the day, so I spent the rest of the day sorting through tow samples under the scope. There weren't many people in the lab today so it was quite quiet.

After my internship, I ran (literally) to Safeway and did a shop, then had the shuttle van take me back to the pier with all my groceries. I still cannot get over how expensive food is here!! Aye!

I went for a swim when I got back from the store, and that helped to refresh me from the heat. Then I made quinoa burrito bowls for dinner which was super yummy:) This evening was actually really nice because two of my dorm-mates and I had dinner together which we’ve never done before. It was great to eat with them and just chat together. A nice, chill end to my day!
