A Guide

For photographers the word consistency is very important, why?

Because it’s what differentiates a great photo from a great photographer, one amazing photo doesn’t make you a professional.

That’s why consistency and repetition is so important, so what to do first? You first need to know your fundamentals. These are some of the things photographers know inside out:

1. Know your equipment

You need to know your camera, the functions it has and how to take the better photo utilizing these functions. Most people don’t read the manual that comes with the camera, but they should, since it explains all the things you need to know while it indicates the right bottoms for each function. You need to know and understand how ISO, exposure, shutter speed and more work, and what they’re for.

2. Study the light

Light is very important for your photos; some photographers shoot only in natural light and some use some form of artificial light. There’re also good light and bad light in all types of light. You should be able to notice how the light fall or hits the best on your subject.

3. Take your time

As we already said photography is all about consistency and the will to learn and keep trying. Don’t feel pressured to be perfect on your first attempts, take your time and understand what worked, what didn’t and what you could have done to make it work, study your images. Don’t worry if it doesn’t come naturally, keep practicing.

4. Enjoy
