A USAToday story this morning mentioned an important detail that I missed.
David Cearley

Be very careful what you wish for.

An excellent point. What has been wished for all along, whether acknowledged as an outcome or not, is the appointment of a pro-life Red-State governor to the highest office in the land by benefit of no electoral process whatsoever. If the ascendancy of Trump to the White House by way of an electoral-college vote was intolerable to the left, they would have no one but themselves to blame, were Pence to assume the office by default after their having manipulated his own party into ousting his boss.

Under a Pence administration brought about by those means, the idea of “one person, one vote” would be rendered such a moot point, at the left’s own hands, as to not even be worth discussing for a long time to come.

Personally, I think a Pence presidency would be the best of all possible outcomes to this laughable affair over who is or is not in bed with “the Russians.” I might be in line with warning these moronic lazy-leftists to be careful what they wish for, but at the same time kinda hope their wish is granted. I can’t think of anything which would be better suited to telling the left to put a sock in it once and for all, than the words, “I, Michael Pence, do solemnly swear….”
