Honest, I actually did literally LOL over this remark.

Happens to the best of us. I expect you’ll get over it, compadre.

Generalizations and ambiguities off the fingertips of otherwise skilled and powerful writers are kinda like macro-typos. Kinda like when somebody pounds out “Untied States of America”, they take on life of their own quite irrespective of what the intent had been.

Or as my dad’s old paperweight states:

I know you believe you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize, that what you heard was not what I meant.
