How very naive of Assange: I read our Comrade Engineer’s manifesto, and it is as leftist an outburst as anything else I ever read from anyone in the tech sector. He continually back-pedals and qualifies himself, and really says almost nothing at all other than “I personally don’t approve of how Google is doing diversity.” What he doesn’t say and obviously doesn’t believe, is that ANY approach to hiring people and running a company based on anything BUT their qualifications and performance, is simply racism and sexism by other means.

He doesn’t show the spine to come right out and say, “stop paying any attention whatsoever to what race or sex folks are or how many of them are around”, because that would stray even further from the Party Line that until the day before yesterday he himself was complicit in upholding. Did he not know, years ago, what the PC culture he was building his fortune on was made of or capable of? Give me a break.

I grew up during the Cold War, and watched these sellout “dissidents” betray their own sworn codes one after another, looking for nothing but a better deal for themselves. A turncoat, is a turncoat, and can never, ever be trusted. This drives this Assange character way, way down in my estimation, that he is dumb enough to fall for the oldest turncoat’s ruse in the book.
