She will either seek to dismantle the fiasco of Dear Colleague and its trivializing of sexual crime into civil rules violations as a blunt-edged power-grabbing attempt by the left to nationalize higher education and use compromising the safety of young women to achieve it, or she is just another bureaucratic placeholder in a long line of them in that job.
Taking criminal prosecution out of the hands of State law enforcement, and dialing back standards of proof to the level of “she seems honest, he looks guilty” (aka “preponderance of the evidence”) is nothing short of treason, and ought to have been recognized as the most impeachable of offenses in a long list of them committed by the former administration.
If a conservative administration even this early on is not fully committed to reversing the course liberals always take, of vastly increasing federal executive power by any means necessary and disguising their crude coups d’etat as “civil rights activism”, then it has no cause to call itself anything but more of the same. People voted these hundreds of leftist social engineers out of office for a reason, and the new guys damn well better recognize that the same will happen to them if they don’t deliver some relief, from the bureaucratic meta-state these last clowns went so far in building.
