It’s a huge difference!

A South Asian writer and I were discussing how women of color get far less attention here than white women. Now, I don’t know if it’s because readers—especially men—are only validating attractive white women or it’s because they assume someone with a non western name can’t write English, but that’s what I noticed after comparing claps and comments.

Yet, despite this, I still enjoy Medium.
