About: Human trafficking

Audience: General Public

Purpose: Argument

This advertisements was created for the general public because incidents of human trafficking happen everyday. It’s sad to say that some are seen and never reported due to people fearing the consequences of helping if seen. I believe this picture has purpose because when I first read it I said to myself what if this was me,wouldn't I want someone to help me.This poster is a call to action to stop human trafficking of innocent vulnerable victims.

Harlem

BY LANGSTON HUGHES

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up

like a raisin in the sun?

Or fester like a sore —

And then run?

Does it stink like rotten meat?

Or crust and sugar over —

like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags

like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

About: Dream

Audience: General Public

Purpose: Argument

I choose this poem because it gives you something to think about. What really happens to a dream that we have dreamed and never let grow? This poem bascially gives you a change in thought when contemplating on life’s many difficult questions and obstacles. It gives you a second look on always letting everything that is possible die off. I always read this poem when I’m confused on how I want my future to play out and also when I can not figure out if my dreams are worth trying. This poem for me has a powerful purpose because it keeps me from giving up on my dreams when I feel lost and out of touch with seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for my future.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
