Thanks a lot for your sharing your experience with this, I admit I am very torn about the terminology debate, because on the one hand it’s “just words”, but language also plays such an important role in how we shape and build organizational culture. The reason I brought up the topic in this way is because exactly the fact that we were originally telling people that we don’t have hierarchy in OuiShare generated tensions with newcomers and external people (journalists, for instance), who didn’t always agree with these claims based on the dynamics they could observe.

I’d be keen to hear more about your experience with how to effectively communciate to the rest of the world about your non-conventional organizational model!
