Your Opinion is Important to Us
As described in the original White Paper, to drive awareness and engagement with hi, active members are rewarded with HI each day, including a percent of rewards from downstream invitees. Rewards will unlock after 1 year following identity verification.
This mechanism has contributed to our community growing from 0 to almost 3 million members since launching our Private Beta in May 2021. We are committed to distributing the full ‘Launch & Distributions’ pool as per the white paper.
Based on Feedback from our Community
We now propose an update to the way that Rewards are claimed and distributed — we believe this to be in the best interest of true stakeholders of hi and the long-term growth of our token and platform for the following reasons:
1. Increase number of active contributors amongst membership base
2. Drive deeper penetration with core financial products & services
3. Reward the most active and supportive stakeholders as soon as possible
Especially bearing in mind that out of our 2.8 million membership base:
- 98.5% have only Rewards
- 1.2% have HI in Vault or Flexible but less than Rewards
- 0.3% have more HI in Vault and Flexible than Rewards
Therefore, starting soon, we propose the following:
Rewards Claim
Members will no longer be able to claim rewards if:
1. Within 7 days of joining, he/she has failed to complete identity verification (KYC) Tier 1.
2. Within 30 days of joining, he/she has neither purchased HI nor made a deposit of anything in Flexible.
As soon as a member completes both 1 and 2 rewards claiming is reactivated.
Accelerated Rewards Unlock
To be eligible for Rewards unlock, a member must have completed identity verification (KYC) Tier 1 and have at least 100 HI staked (Earnings + Vault combined).
Rewarded HI will then unlock from Rewards as follows:
1. At the beginning of every month, (starting very soon) the total number of HI staked across Earnings and Vault which is used to determine your membership tier, will also be the amount of HI unlocked.*
2. Unlocked rewards will be deposited directly to your Vault account and released daily over a 30-day period.
3. Unclaimed rewards will expire and be burned if not unlocked within 365 days of being rewarded.
*Only Active Rewards will unlock — meaning rewards earned by downstream members who have completed Tier 1 identity verification (KYC). We intend to implement the changes above only if a majority of our HI buyers community votes in favour of the proposal.
