“Avoid software. The problem with software is that everyone has it.”
― Bruce Mau’s An Incomplete Manifesto for Growth
Maybe avoid is a strong word in this case. But I gotta admit it causes some impact. The thing with the software is that it's just a tool. Nothing more than that. And no matter how much you know its functionalities, there's no miracle. It won't provide you the good taste and the detail-oriented eye you haven't developed by yourself.
You gotta teach your eyes through references and also through muscle memory. You gotta work hard until you can close your eyes and create things with your mind or get a pencil and a paper to make your ideas understandable to others fast. You gotta put your heart into it everyday.
And for things like these, no software required.
“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.” — Francis of Assisi
