Experience User Experience at #StartConFest19
This young man walked into the hub trailing after a mutual friend one slow day in 2016. He said he was dragged along to the Roothub and he wanted to know what happens here, I told him and pushed him to model for a t-shirt line, I and my bro co-founded called Always Fresh Gear. At the end of the shoot, he said he loved the energy and would want to be a part of the family & then we got talking.
Found out that dude was a NYSC corp member & had mad programming skills but was interested in photography, graphics, videography and lots more. We welcomed him into the family comprising of Akaninyene Gibson Eric Imoh Silas Julius Ekanem Fredrick Udoh Essien Saviour Anny. Dude was hungry to learn and seriously willing to teach so we began swapping skills day and night, using Rapida wifi. He introduced Collins Nnadozie Gideon Agbeniga & Tolu Bakare to the team, then Aniekan Andikan Chuks Ogbuniba and a host of others joined us to learn.
Competition was ruthless as we all wanted to outdo the other, picking up skills rapidly. We ate, laughed, shared ideas and sometimes fought together but ultimately pushed ourselves as a unit. These guys laid the foundation for skill sharing at the hub today as evident in the training of over 11,000 persons today.
I am glad that all of them are doing so well in their chosen paths and I am proud to have mentored & led this great guys that is now family and has birthed others.
