Don’t Sit On Gold: A Self Audit Could Change Your Life

Have you ever wondered what finding 100 pounds of pure gold in your backyard would feel like? The pure excitement and rush of discovering something so valuable, sitting beneath your nose, yet every day you passed right by and you never seemed to notice it.
That’s exactly how it feels when you take action using a skill set that you have, yet it’s laying dormant because you never put it to use.
Sometimes too often more than not, on our search for the next great thing we tend to overthink just about everything and not analyze anything. I can’t begin to explain how important is it to take the time and take a few steps back and analyze what’s in front of us already.
Connecting with oneself is a task one must do daily or at least weekly. You can call it what you’d like but in my mind its labeled a self-audit.
It’s pausing the noise all around you that occurs in our everyday fast-paced lives, forcing yourself to sit still and see what’s already in front of us.
No, I don’t mean the monitor in front of you, I mean seeing the real you. Seeing who you could be a year from now if you only faced your fears.
You’re inner reflection says a lot about you and it will never lie about how it sees itself.
Don’t waste a lifetime being someone you’re not. Whoever you are deep down inside, you may just find it by taking a break from life for a minute.
The person you seem to keep hiding away between the mundane grind of life, your miserable job, and the plethora of series on Netflix you watch every night to drown out the rest of the week that’s yet to come, is counting on you.
If the above sounds like you, maybe you’re hiding something from yourself.
