Thanks for this article Frederic. There is one thing we can potentially consider. To your point about BuzzFeed’s long-term survival, I would assume that their editorial and capitalistic relationship with NBC has bought them a future, and might be their exit door if they go into negative margins territory. A company with media assets like NBC (but also their other backers) must definitely be interested in their analytical and editorial “savoir-faire”. I would also assume that BuzzFeed can find other revenue avenues by licensing their tools to other publishers, as long as it does not put their competitive advantage too much at risk.

On another note, I read your Monday Note religiously and love them. Thank you and long live the Monday Notes.
