Sounds about right. Except for the Army part, the Army is dominated by the Infantry branch who have a embedded “Fuck POGs” mentality that starts at Sand Hill or West Point. Its counter-productive a good portion of the time, especially to the other functional branches who directly support Infantry, like MI, Aviation, Medical, Armor/Cav, SF, and Artillery.
Marines ARE indeed elitists who think they’re better than everyone else, never hesitate to share that opinion, and don’t learn from their own mistakes because they’re perfect 150% of the time. Who needs lessons learned when you’re perfect?
The Air Force is divided into two distinct classes, Aerospace Rated and everyone else (which is the main reason the A-10 “debate” is as bad as it is, the TACPs and ALOs have their voice muted as they’re second class citizens). Rated has their way and everyone else has to deal with it.
The Navy is a little more nuanced. SW dominates similar to how the Infantry in the Army is, SS is in general more competent but has their own separate bureaucracy to deal with (NAVSEA 08). Aviation isn’t trusted as much as they should be. NIF still scares people because of NSG’s old reputation. But I’m not sure I agree with traditionalism being as big a factor as ARSOC does here.
