Bow The Knee
DON’T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING; instead, PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING. TELL GOD WHAT YOU NEED, and THANK HIM FOR ALL HE HAS DONE.
Then YOU WILL EXPERIENCE GOD’S PEACE, which EXCEEDS ANYTHING WE CAN UNDERSTAND. His PEACE WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS and MINDS AS YOU LIVE in Christ Jesus.
The opening of the heart to God as to a friend
The only key to God's storehouse in faith's hand
"Early will I seek thee; my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee"
He promises"I will pour water upon him that is thirsty and those that seek me early shall find me"
"No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly"
"The same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him"
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him"
"Believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him"
Hearts that yearn and yawn for His healing touch
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”
"He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all"
Bends His ear in rapt attention to the pleading soul
When the prowling adversary encompasses with temptation
"Be careful for nothing; but by prayer and supplication..."
"I’m weary of my crying"and in deep waters speedily I sink
Remember "He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think"
When I yield and indulge in works of darkness
"Have mercy upon me,O God according to Thy lovingkindness"
"The Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy"
So wallow not in your spiritless and sinful lethargy
Pray to God for"He healeth the broken in heart"
Purges us thoroughly with hyssop, and weed all dirt
He"restores unto me the joy of salvation"
Only by penitential and contrite prayer's reason!
Oh!The sweetest and solemn prayer hour
Whence we are "strengthened with all might according to His glorious power"
"No weapon formed against thee shall prosper"
When on your bowed knees in prayer you ceaselessly endeavour
How wondrously ethereal, cheering and surreal it will be
When you trace all your timely help to your dutifully bowed knee
And gratefully you'll proclaim"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised"
Oh! How I hope that in all these I have well said!
