What Saith The Scripture?

Psalm 19
[10]MORE TO BE DESIRED are they THAN GOLD,even THAN MUCH FINER GOLD ; they are SWEETER also THAN honey and DRIPPINGS FROM THE HONEYCOMB.

In all treasures' lore found I the best
Neither in foxes' holes nor flitty birds' nest
In the word alone found I mine rest
"Come unto me all ye that labour"
Just when I was spent in vain endeavour

Spiritually hungry,miserable life you’ve led
Sink your teeth into life’s true bread
Malnourished in senseless vileness?
"Let your soul delight itself in fatness"
Without price and without money
Find something sweeter than virgin honey!

Reeling from lugubrious wanton hurt?
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart"
Wanting in meritorious standing? "Lean not unto thine own understanding "
Manacled too long in follies thraldom?
"The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom"
"To depart from evil is understanding"

Ah! Wondrous and illustrious book
Brimful of spiritual dainties well cook
May my heart and soul ever yearn
For the peerless truths you churn Fain I be found in it’s expounded narrow way
When Angels bear His saints away!
