Let me save you time… Productivity, Wisdom and Mental Models
Everyone is looking for these things, but not everyone will find them! Here’s my interpretation…
This article will be straight to the point on these different headings.
Here we begin…
1. Productivity
The road to success, it’s not as long as you would think…

I’m going to give you the short of it, we waste hours of our lives reading on how to become more productive when we should stop wasting that time and try use it on other things that practice self-discipline.
Yes… Self-discipline is the only way forward with productivity.
Examples: Dedicating time to reading, making sure you fill that 15-minute slot everyday with a book that you’ve had sitting in your house for ages. Maybe it could be your diet, if you teach yourself to stop snacking and just eat at mealtimes then you could become healthier by doing so. Maybe it could be religion and practicing prayer, or maybe it could be forcing yourself to keep to the recommended 60-minutes of activity everyday via the gym, running, walking… whatever works!
The point of this section is, self-discipline will lead to self-control which in essence will motivate and dedicate your mind to whatever you wish to do in life! Find that something and practice it daily, go on… Give it a try!
2. Wisdom
Knowledge isn’t wisdom, it’s just very similar…

This is most solidly gained throughout a lifetime, you cannot gain it simply by one article but rather learn to love learning and challenge everything you learn as if it were wrong in your own mind.
By trial and error, you will be able to become wiser. Practice this daily and you will find yourself living a life with an improved understanding of why things exist and how might they be interpreted. This is all about living your life and gaining life experiences from it!
3. Mental Models
What are they? Well, take a look…

Most people are stuck in singular ways of thinking, when they open their viewpoints they can obtain different angles of the same situations. To gain these different viewpoints we can learn MENTAL MODELS which have been proven to help many people, and vice-versa not been needed with others as their minds already possess this cognitive power.
Now you know, briefly, what they are and what they can empower you to do… You can chose to research the mental models available rather than spending more time learning about them!
Example: Anxiety (I use this term lightly as I know it’s hard for people who have this), it is a closed-mindset that makes you feel trapped, but when you finally open your eyes to see the different views available, it will be easier to overcome by practicing and learning those different views of people who have not fallen into the trap or who have escaped.
Final bit of advice…
The only thing that will truly help you is to practice this mind over matter/self-discipline is to focus on your work rather than wasting hours reading productive articles. So get out there and START LEARNING!
