The Island of Gods; Is Bali Indonesia?

If one has never heard of Indonesia, “Bali” should sound familiar. Bali, “The Island of Gods,” is only an island located in the Republic of Indonesia. Balinese offers offerings to their guardian deities in various places, so it is called “The Island of Gods.” The most important gods there are Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva (Trimurti). These gods definitely have nothing to do with “The father of Gods and Men,” Zeus.

“Bali is the richest island in culture,” one might not only consider that but would easily say it out loud. But is it true? Does this republic, Indonesia, the world’s largest island country, only has Bali to offer? Logically speaking, if it’s true, then what is the point of visiting Indonesia besides this magical island? Fortunately, Indonesia has a lot more to offer.

Komodo island placed on East Nusa Tenggara province (NTT) made famous because of its inhabitants The Komodo dragon. This wonderful island is inhabited by a possible 3m-long komodo and is home for more than 4000 dragons.

Indonesia itself has three time zones. One may imagine if one keeps on moving from Sabang to Merauke, one will get three extra hours in a day. But is it possible, Moving 3.133 miles in a day? From Aceh, the westernmost province in Indonesia, The Mecca’s Porch, to Borneo, an island shared by Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunai.

This country has 17,500 islands and is a part of the Pacific Rim “Ring of Fire.” Back to the past, one of which the world’s deadliest and most destructive volcanic events recorded took place between the Sumatera Province and Java, which is still Indonesia. For further information, this event is called the “1833 eruption of Krakatoa.”

Indonesia is a wonderful country, and each one will wonderfully blow the expectations of visitors. There are many beautiful places and interesting facts about Indonesia, including a country with no less than 1,340 ethnic groups.
