You might be thinking, “ JavaScript is harmless, right? It’s just a cute little language that makes websites more interactive and responsive.”

Well, I hate to break it to you, but that’s not entirely true. JavaScript can be a lot like that cute but mischievous kid in your class who always manages to get you in trouble. It can be used to view or steal your personal data, run malicious code on your browser, and even snoop on what you type.
