An excellent piece. The central issue that we are seeing of this election from outside the USA is simply this: Bernie Sanders is absolutely right. The election process in America is *rigged from top to bottom*. Until this is sorted out, you have no chance of fixing any of the other messes facing your country.

I took a look at the voting map for New York: solidly green for Bernie everywhere, except the big cities, where it is easy to manipulate the poll, make 140,000 voters disappear from one borough. Therefore, the more voters there are, the less reliable are the results (if there are 100 voters at a station, it’s much harder to tamper). If you just take each of the 60 reporting counties and take the average, treating each one the same, you find Bernie Sanders won New York by 55.4% to 44.6%, i.e., by double digits.

Americans must take back their democracy, this is a unique moment in history. You will never have this opportunity again in your lifetime .
