I use food to calm my anxiety and fear as well. I have tried counseling, and it helped a little. But many of the circumstances in my life have not/will not/cannot change; thus, still having the anxiety, disappointment, and depression, I (too often) turn to food.
Antidepressants also have slowed any progress I could make at weight loss.
