Great issue to be aware of but was wondering about one thing:

I live near the US-Canada border and have been to Canada numerous times and never had this happen nor have heard of it happening. The linked to article also doesn’t state this is standard procedure of unlocking his phone only that is man was detained for refusing to do so and is fighting it in court.

So, what is the procedure in Canada?
