Also (not an expert) you don’t really need to expose your personal life to your potential employer, what you clearly do. They don’t have to know your mental gender. You can just change your social profile right now and get 20 job offers in a week.

This shouldn’t matter. Why should trans people hide that they’re trans, and change the way they present themselves just to get along in a narrow-minded culture.

We, the tech industry, always claim that we’re building the future. We need to build a future that works for everyone. To do this, we need experiences from all genders, ethnicities, religious beliefs, …to go into the things we build, so we don’t alienate people out of ignorance.

If we really want to build the future, we need to stop making people like Emelia feel like they don’t fit in.
