Great article. Your postings on bitcoin and blockchain have made me want to learn more about them. By watching your youtube videos, I have gotten a whole new appreciation for what it’s like to teach oneself coding.

For years, I was stuck with the notion that learning a language and working on open source projects was the way to go. But you have opened my eyes to the notion that using coding knowledge to read papers and to create useful algorithms is a more fruitful approach.

I like the idea of agreements encoded into software. I have heard of the notion of encoding laws even into software. It’s interesting to think about how to make a system like that hack proof.

Many of us read and enjoy your articles despite not always commenting on them. Often this is due to the fact that there being so many new (to me) concepts, that it’s difficult to come up with a relevant and productive comment.
