Is there a reason (other than general curiosity) you want to build TensorFlow on the Raspberry Pi?

The first reason is Privacy : we don’t want data on our servers that could have been processed on device, at @Snips we advocate the “Privacy by Design” principle. The second reason is that this enables us to have an offline solution (before the Pi 3, there was no onboard wifi on the Raspberry Pi). Plus in the end our models run quite fast on the Pi so we see no reason not to do it.
