That’s something no one’s really brought up yet: The NCAA doesn’t want to change and will do everything within its power to avoid reform. There’s really nothing to leverage except for public opinion and even then, the NCAA might be content to rely on people’s willingness to buy into March Madness despite misgivings or be generally vague and passive about their objections (like we are with so many other things in this world). They would hardly be the first institution to bank on relative apathy or inaction. That’s why the onus does to some degree fall on the fans to demand change, put their money where their mouth is, etc.
