Charisma is a quality that does not go unnoticed, but we don’t fully understand where it originates.
Likely, the individual is aware of the unique magnetic pull effect that their personality has on those around them.
Not All of These are the Same
Even highly unorthodox individuals possess it. I chose Tom Waits as an example because he may not be the first person that comes to mind when we think of charisma, but he has buckets full of this mysterious elixir.
Waits appears to perceive himself as socially-awkward; this is obvious from observing his interviews and late-night appearances. His willingness to be in the limelight regardless of being a true eccentric may be the key to understanding his charisma.
It works for him, and he is probably peripherally conscious of it because his music and performances have created a cult following.
On the other side of the coin, actors like Tom Cruise or Leo Dicaprio fully realize the power of what they have and take full advantage of it.
