A Prayer For Hurting Women

Today happens to be the National Day of Prayer. I don’t want this day to close without offering up a prayer for women who have been abandoned , abused and shamed. There are women all over the world who are barely hanging on , feeling like no one understands, wondering if the pain will ever end and contemplating if wholeness is even possible. Many are wrestling with and pondering whether life is even worth living. Pain has a way of trying to define us and for many it is the driving force into other self defeating and negative behaviors. To my sisters all over the world I offer this prayer on our behalf.

Father God , Maker, Healer, Deliver I ask that you heal and make whole me and my sisters. Lord you have seen every injustice , you know my pain , my fears , my doubts and you see my tears . Lord you have said that all those with broken hearts can come to you. Your hands are out for the weary and heavy laden to give them rest ; Lord I need rest I cannot carry this pain any longer help me look to the promises of your Word and be confident that the work that you begin in me will be completed. For nothing shall be impossible for you nothing is to hard. I ask that you restore me , help me to forgive those who have hurt me . You are the God of Hope fill me with your peace. You have said in your Word that you will never leave me or forsake me ;I ask that you walk beside me and that I feel your healing presence. I need you and I am looking to you to bring glory out of all that I have suffered . Make my pain count and let your will be done in my life . Amen
