FreePeopleRule…Because We Don’t Get Offended

Revere Tells it How it is…

A Long Island, NY school recently came under fire following a fifth grade choir’s removal of some key lyrics from the traditional Christmas song “Silent Night.” (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/12/20/which-key-christmas-lyrics-were-cut-from-student-choirs-rendition-of-silent-night/) Apparently school officials believed the lyrics, which include references to Christ, might be offensive to others. Tolerance is a two way street. As a result of this news, one of my contributors, Revere, decided to comment. I’ll warn you now, some of the language below is not suitable for those easily offended (see what I did there?).

“This is akin to reverse discrimination (which isn't really a thing). I dare any other religion to consider for one fucking second that they should pasteurize and neuter their spiritual message to appease other groups. Name one. Particularly right in the middle of their high holy month. Mark my words. Pretty soon the National Anthem will be declared insensitive because it makes illegal aliens feel self conscious or it makes whiny pacifists feel like their rights are being infringed or some other nutty bullshit. Eventually somebody will propose gray unisex Mao suits and generic songs about the generic state so nothing and nowhere and nobody has to feel different. Concessions to tiny minority fringe elements to preserve fake feelings of adequacy will be the end of American Exceptionalism and destroy the very republic that gave freedoms to progressive gutless shitbags who are emboldened now to dismantle the very thing that helps them. Those types aren't trying to rise to be part of the greater America, they want the greater American made weak. Ironic. Happy (generic) holiday season.” -Revere-

Happy HannaKwanzaChrisFestivus Everyone. May there be peace on earth TO MEN OF GOOD WILL.
