We had our launch party, added 7,000 customers from our waitlist and ticked off three major Christmas List items. 🎄
The most important one?
We shipped ISAs
We launched the ISA feature to all Freetrade users!
With our Investment ISA, you can build a portfolio and all your gains and almost all your dividend income will be tax-free.
If you’re a current user with investments in your Freetrade portfolio and you want to switch to the ISA, we’re planning a unique, one-off auto-conversion to convert your holdings into ISA form on the 10th December.
As far as we know, this has never been done before but, hey, you’re worth it! 💜
We’ve written a lot about ISAs and our community are discussing the launch, so head there if you’re after the deeper details or the requirements.
One more thing: our ISA is free till April 2019 (the start of the next tax year).
Android waitlist 🤖
We also dropped the first version of the Android app. At the moment, it serves as a waitlist and you can use it to track your spot or chat to us.

This robot’s still under assembly and the investing features will be ready in early 2019. If you’re already at the front of the queue, you’ll be in the first batch to get access on Android.
And of course, if you’ve already started an account on iOS, once investing is ready on Android you’ll be able to access your account there too, using the same email.
Improved portfolio graph 📈
Previously, the graph was tracking the end-of-day value of your portfolio. Now we’ve improved it to show the latest, real-time value of your portfolio, with the past data showing the value at each previous hour.
As before, the measurement is based on the value of the stocks and cash in your portfolio. For the deeper detail, head here.
This upgrade is just the start of a big list of improvements we want to bring to our analytics. 🔥

New hire! 💪
Great customer service has been a huge consideration for us, even before we launched. We see it as a feature of using Freetrade, as important as free investing or beautiful design.
On that note, we’re excited to announce the arrival of an incredible hire, Gemma Happe, as our new Head of Customer Ops.
Having spent almost a decade at Google and Snapchat, Gemma will lead the way in bringing Freetrade’s customer experience to the next level.
We’ll have an interview up with her next week and look out for her in the community soon.
