Local Craft Beers for the Holidays

Do you wonder where you can get local craft beers for the holidays? Look no further. Freight Kitchen & Tap is the best place to find tasty beers during the cold months. Want to feel the “gourd vibrations” of a genuine sweater weather brew? Try Gate City Brewing’s Gourd Vibrations Pumpkin Porter. If that sounds too intense, you can’t go wrong with Burnt Hickory’s Big Shanty Graham Cracker Stout. Burnt Hickory is our November brewery of the month, so this is your last chance to scoop a free pint glass!

Are you ready for Woodstock’s 22ndannual Christmas Jubilee Parade of Lights? You can bet your bottom dollar that Freight is a part of it. It’s sure to be a fun time full of holiday cheer. The parade starts December 1stat 5:30 PM at Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Road and travels down Main Street to Sam’s Club at Highway 92. Remember to check out those road closures!

Monday December 3rdis another infamous NFL burger battleat Freight. Watch the Washington Redskins play the Philadelphia Eagles and enjoy one of our two tasty themed burgers. Let’s see what your options are:

Washington Redskin Burger– 8 oz. local angus beef patty topped with fried sliced redskin potatoes, candied maple bacon, and a fried sunny side up egg. Rise and shine!

Philly Cheesesteak Burger– 8 oz. local angus beef patty topped with sautéed peppers, sautéed onions, and Cheez Wiz. Yeah, Cheez Wiz.

Once again, big thanks to our friends at Bear Creek Cattle Company in Ellijay, GA. Without them, our burger beef wouldn’t be as tasty or fresh.

Looks like you’ve got a lot to look forward to! From the Christmas parade Saturday to a mouthwatering Monday burger battle, you’re ready to kick off December in downtown Woodstock. We’ll see you soon.
