Martin Luther King Jr. was undoubtedly one of the biggest influences in history. He’s recognized as the most visible leader and spokesperson during the civil rights movement. Considering he was born in Atlanta, he holds a special place in our hearts. This year, MLK Day falls on King’s actual birthday, January 15th. To celebrate, Freight is hosting a special brunch in Downtown Woodstock, GA. Our guests are always asking for breakfast food during the week, so this Monday, we are offering “brunch at lunch”. The popular brunch items we are adding to the menu, for one day only, are Waffle Me, Bourbon French Toast, and New York Strip Steak with Eggs.

Dr. King was a nonviolent activist, so what better way to bring peace and unity to your neighborhoods than to create solutions together? There are many places to volunteer in the Atlanta area. Lots of charitable organizations get involved such as Hands On Atlanta, The Clothes Closet, Human Rights Campaign, Lost-n-Found Youth, and Outstanding Atlanta. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”
